Xbox One may support mouse and keyboard, allowing users to also use this control method to play. This is not however an option that will be available at launch, but you may be introduced later. This was announced by Larry Hryb during a recent interview with Newegg.
The head of programming on Xbox LIVE explained specifically that the dev kit Xbox One provided to allow developers to have a certain freedom, possibly also supporting other devices and third-party accessories. “Certainly we will have this great SDK for developers, so that they do what they prefer. If there is something they are interested in, it certainly will help them to do it. Clearly it is possible, but we have nothing to announce at this time”.
