Beyond Two Souls, is officially available on PlayStation 3. Considered as one of the last exclusive weight for the Sony console before the debut of PS4 , the title is arousing curiosity about the work of David Cage and his team of developers.
With two players the likes of Ellen Page and Willem Dafoe, innovative motion capture techniques ( the same used in Avatar ) , a script of more than 2000 pages we understand that we are talking about a decidedly out of the ordinary compared to modern standards of ‘ game industry .
The player will take part in the adventures of Jodie (Ellen Page ) , a young girl with supernatural powers and a psychic link with an invisible entity called Aiden .
Between flashbacks and a narrative that addresses the various moments of the life of the protagonist will be up to players to choose how to change the course of events and affect the narrative, you can count on 23 possible endings . On paper it ‘s all very intriguing, but as has been welcomed by the press ?
Currently the game has an average rating of 73 points out of 100 on Metacritic , the popular aggregator of reviews. A score similar to the one saddled by users , amounting to 7.4 points out of 10. Are wasted praise on the graphics , judged amazing , especially considering the hardware on which it runs this game.
Good news regarding the story and the acting of the protagonists, two characteristics considered more convincing than Heavy Rain, the title previously developed by Quantic Dream . Some reviews point out , however, that the decision to rely often on the flashback is a bit ‘ too forced and ends up breaking the story.
